Weekend Update

Hey, y'all. Just wanted to say

HEY! I'm alive!

Obviously I haven't been motivated to post anything this week, and I'm not really sure why. I could beat myself up about it, and I'm really good at that, but it wouldn't turn back time and have posts magically appear, so...meh.

So what's been goin' on? A big old bunch a nothin'. Hence the absence of posts.

Let me see if I can bring you up to date.

Cooked.
Babysat.
Schooled the chirren.
Watched Big Daddy play softball.
Built an Advocare empire.
Hopefully cut off drama's head, once and for all.

Looking forward to?

Peace.
Some rest, maybe?
Seeing Fireproof.

Oh yeah, and 3 years ago today we finalized the adoption of two of our girls. Tomorrow is the anniversary of the other. I'd love to write a post about it, but every time I try I get all verklempt and nothing I write is coherent or makes sense. Stay tuned.

And have a great Friday, people. I'll try not to be such a stranger.

I REALLY want to go see Fireproof tonight/this weekend. But, it's not gonna happen. ;-(

CONGRATULATIONS on your adoption anniversary. :-) I am very happy for you, and by reading your blog I know the children are a true blessing for you. ;-) I look forward to reading all about it. :-)

Yay Lori!
So glad you are coming throught the fire with all the chaff burned away.

Congratulation on the adoption anniversay. You are so blessed to be bringing up those little punkins.

As for the story, verklempt, uncoherent or nonsensical (is that even a word?) I think people would love to read it.

Congratulations on the anniversary of your family!

I would also suggest to just start writing. After a twin miscarriage I had the story all bouncing around in my head for months. Once I finally got it out on paper it was like I didn't have to remember it anymore because I could read it instead of re-living it all day every day. I was able to sleep and string together thoughts and everything once I got the details written out.

My suggestion is to just begin at the beginning. Take it one step at a time and remember what the editing features of a computer are for! :)

I tagged you for a meme about when you brought your daughters home!

If you're too verklempt to post something on your own...

Congratulations on your adoption anniversary! Our adoption anniversary is on 9/29/06 :) Such a cool day.

I understand what you mean about writing it all out - It took me several weeks to get all the way through our story. But, I did it, and encourage you to do it, too. You'll appreciate it, your girls will appreciate it - maybe not now, but some day...
