Shall we pray?

Last week I mentioned that I have a family member I'd like you to pray for. Today I'll tell you a little more about him.

My uncle can be very caring and giving, but if offended holds a grudge FOR EVER. If he feels he's been wronged, he hates the offender with a white hot heat. For a very long time. Years ago, my dad did something that hurt Uncle's feelings and Uncle ignored my dad for 20 years. Seriously. More recently, another uncle forgot to return a videotape and Uncle has called him a liar and a thief for almost 10 years.

It's so sad.

Uncle had a hard childhood, with a mother who abandoned him to be raised by his grandparents. So now if someone he loves or trusts disappoints him, it hurts him in such an awful way that his love turns right into hate.

I love my Uncle, and he is so good to Big Daddy, me and our girls. I just want him to be happy, and to have the freedom to forgive people.

So will you pray for him, please?

And if you have a family member (or even you!) that we can pray for, please leave your request in the comments or write a post at your blog and sign the Linky below.

Well, it seems that right now I can't get Mr. Linky to work, so just leave any prayer requests in the comments.

God bless us every one.

I will definitely be praying for you Uncle, Lori. I have family members like that too.

If you would, please add my friend, "V" to your prayer list. At one time she almost became my mother in law. She has been quite ill for some time, and is just so tired of living. She is not doing well.

Thank you. :-)

My dear friends Mark & Julie are on a trip to Ethiopia right now to pick up the TWO children they're adopting. They're also with another adopting couple, Dustin & Jen.

You can read about their journey at - http://fourplusmore.wordpress.com

They've just arrived in Africa, and everything is going smoothly so far. Just pray that the rest of their journey is a BIG, FAT BLESSING.
