Welcome to The Party!

Be sure to scroll down for new posts, because this one will stay on top throughout the party.

I can't believe it's already been a year since the first Ultimate Blog Party, brought to us by those wonderful ladies at 5 Minutes For Mom!

I'm so excited that y'all have stopped by my little blog for a visit! I guess I'd better tell you a little about myself.

I'm a stay-at-home Mom to 3 darling daughters, Pooh(8), Tinkerbell(6) and Scooter(4). I know some people don't like nicknames on blogs, but guess what - we really call 'em Tink and Scooter, and sometimes even Pooh!

We adopted our girls through foster care 3 years ago, and even though it is HARD sometimes, I thank God every day for helping us find each other. I am obviously a big advocate for foster/adoption, so if you have any questions or want to know more about our story, PLEASE feel free to ask!

I've been married to Big Daddy for 11 crazy, traumatic, eventful, miraculous, blessed years. He's great, and mostly takes very good care of his girls, especially me. 'cept when I'm overly crazy, then he just laughs at me.

Most Fridays I do a little Forum here called Advice Forum Fridays. I started it about six months ago, mainly because I'm always wondering how other people do things...any old thing from your best cookie recipe to how you handle whacked out 1st grade teachers to what's the most frugal place to download music.

I'll save the rest for later on...now I've got to go check out some parties myself.

Thank you so much for stopping by my corner of the world, and please come back - there's so much more to tell!

OOH, and I just remembered to tell you about all the neat prizes they're offering over at 5MFM. While I'd be thrilled to win ANY of the prizes, my top 10 are:

Hi Lori!

Congratulations on your girls! You're doing a wonderful thing by adopting these precious children and giving them a good home!

And the nicknames thing? No worries, I call my family by nicknames, too. Hey, we have to protect the innocent, right? *grin*

It was great meeting you and have fun at the party!

Hiya, I'm here through the blog party, and guess what - I'm a work-at-home mom to two darling boys who are intent on driving me rip-roaring crazy.
Cept, I'm pretty sure they're winning. Or maybe we just all are, is that an option? I will be back! :D

I love the name of your blog! I'm an adoptive mom of 2 miracles myself. And I don't know about you, but it drives me NUTS when people complement me being so big hearted to adopt. Hello? I'M the one who is so lucky and my kids should be congratulated for dealing with me!

Yaay, I love blog party time because I find some really great blogs that I would have missed otherwise.

Also, nice to know that someone ELSE is the Laundry Queen and not actually me.

Just found you via BooMama. I enjoyed your AI post. My husband and I are just beginning the process of adopting through foster care. Did you adopt all 3 girls as a sibling group?

Hi!! Thanks for stopping by my little party pad! Your party is rocking!! I am getting some serious blogger envy over all these cute sights! I need me a makeover!
We loved foster care - we are taking a break right now til our four year old is able to understand why not all of the kids can stay - because of her historym she has some issues, especially with abandonement.
God Bless you -- I will stop by later for SURE!!!

You are a very special person to adopt out of the foster care system. Not everyone can handle taking in children the way you do. You are a blessing to your girls.

Have fun in the party!
