Public Service Announcement - Bacon Alert

Please be advised:

Recents events have shown that Hormel Bacon tastes like Spam and pops like a son-of-a-gun.

Yes, I know what Spam tastes like, and I am not ashamed of it. I was raised in the south, wasn't I?

That is precisely why I fix my bacon in the oven. Lay it out on a large cookie sheet (or baking stone, that's what I do), bake it for about 20 minutes at 400'. No popping grease all over your counter and stovetop! It's the ONLY way I will fix bacon anymore.

My mo mused to make us spam all the time when I was little.... I actually tried to give it to my kids once, and even the one year old refused to eat it. Humph. Learned my lesson on that one. Never again. Waste of money.
