Works For Me Wednesday - Lazy Ironing
Y'all, I hate wrinkles. But I also hate ironing. Ordinarily, when I'm doing Big Daddy's and my laundry, I take everything straight out of the dryer and hang or fold it.
But sometimes my family helps. So last week, I dumped out a basket of what was supposed to be clean towels, and I was sad to see a badly wrinkled pair of pants and T-Shirt.
Some people might just throw the pants back into the hamper and re-wash them, but I also hate wearing out clothes unnecessarily. Yeah, I'm a mess.
But I did I mention I hate ironing? So guess what I did. I folded the pair of pants very neatly, and I put them on my desk chair and laid a towel on top of them. And I sat on them for a day. And all the wrinkles came out. Magic.
I draped the T-shirt over the back of my desk chair, and after a couple more days it was wrinkle-free, too.
So, sitting on my clothes instead of ironing them. Works For Me. Now hurry over to Shannon's and find some more rational tips. And be sure to come back here for Advice Forum Friday.
Oh, and check out this post, and do exactly as she says. Please. It would make me oh, so happy.
LYLAS!

Sounds good, I hate ironing too!
lol. That is so funny yet a fabulous tip. Multi-tasking at it's best.
Thanks for sharing!
LOL! I love the idea and hate ironing too!
You must have some serious humidity where you live! It's a very clever idea! Gotta try it, even in this dry weather--maybe a couple of books instead of a towel? Hate hate hate ironing! Thanks for the tip!
I doing laundry, period!
But thanks for the tip!!!
I'm a lifetime member of the "I hate ironing" club too, so I totally understand your dilemma. And, if you're going to be sitting anyway, you might as well be accomplishing something in the process, right? If BD wonders why you haven't gotten anything ELSE done today, you can just say "Sorry - I've been ironing your pants ALL DAY, honey." And he'll be so imPRESSED! (no pun intended - hee hee!) ;)
Sounds like you stumbled onto a great way to get out of ironing!
LILAS? I haven't seen that word in quite a while. It takes me back to school!
