Shoe Review - Keds vs. Buster Browns

For years, my girls have worn Keds leather T-strap tennies. They go with almost everything, never wear out, and are oh, so easy to clean, either with a wipe or just by throwing them in the washer. Seriously, we hand them down to friends when they no longer fit, and they still have tons of wear left in them.

This past spring, when Tink and Scooter grew out of their Ked's T-Straps, we went on a search for new ones. In the past, we've found good prices on them at Famous Footwear and Kohl's. This time when we went to Famous Footwear, we found Buster Brown T-strap tennies that were identical in appearance to the Ked's we've always bought. And they came in a Wide, which works better for Scooter. So we bought them.

BIG MISTAKE.

Y'all, they hardly wore those shoes at all during the summer! Yet three weeks into the school year and they're falling apart.

So. Back to Keds for us. Or cheapos at Payless, Target or Wal-Mart. At least then I don't mind so much when they fall apart.

Do they make it through all three girls? I have two girls, ages 4 and six, and if something could make it through both it would be worth the money. We had a pink pair that my mother bought for my younger daughter, she loved them. Even now, they are a bit tight, but she loves loves loves loves them.
